Another task in Covenant Love Church‘s Children’s Facilities design project was to create custom floor artwork that complemented the overall space and sci-fi theme. Working with Brock Contract Services, I was able to supply high resolution digital art to be applied to polyvinyl custom flooring.
I later learned that Brock Services won the award for ‘Best Branded Environment’ back in 2021.
This custom floor design begins in the Children’s Lobby, or ‘Launch Pad’ where kids walk on floating pathways with a view of outer space below. Turning into the Nursery hallway, visitors begin a spacewalk. The other hallway takes you to classrooms themed around a space-age aquarium!
Again, so that the artwork scaled smoothly to such a large scale and maintain high resolution, most of the artwork was done in vector with a view of the space station outer ring generated in 3D in Blender.
